SF Sketchfest: Killing My Lobster at The Eureka Theatre

Monday, January 28, 2013 from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Founded in 1997, Killing My Lobster is today hailed by the San Francisco Chronicle as “the closest thing we have to Second City” and “an orgy of comic genius” by Comedy Central. KML has created original work for HBO, is a two-time winner of the “Best of the Fringe” Award at the SF Fringe Festival and won multiple Best Comedy Group awards from the SF Weekly and SF Bay Guardian. They’ve been featured on KQED’s Forum program, and have been a regular fixture at SF Sketchfest for many years. In Sketchfest 2013 they will be returning with another round of their “Best In Show” Show, which features hit sketches from years past. KML Sketch Comedy shows incorporate a range of comedic styles that fuse raucous slapstick, multimedia, sharp satire, wacky monologues and indulgent musical numbers with live music.

Killing My Lobster also produces a steady stream of video shorts that have garnered hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube. Some great examples include “Coffee Wars”, “Why is Everybody Here?”, “Intervention: Chewbacca”, and “Oakland!” KML teaches year-round Sketch Comedy Acting and Sketch Comedy Writing classes.
