Making a pretty cupcake is one thing. Making a pretty cupcake that tastes spectacular is something else altogether. In this workshop Kara Lind, of San Francisco's trend-setting and gorgeous Kara’s Cupcakes, will focus on two things: recipes for moist and incredibly tasty cupcakes as well as techniques for decorating like a pro. If you’ve ever tasted one of Kara’s Cupcakes you know she has a keen eye for recipes that work and tastefully fun embellishments. Known for using organic and local ingredients, Kara will talk about what to do at home to turn out cupcakes worthy of the bakery.
You will make two cupcake flavors and two different frostings, inspired by classic Kara's flavors as well as her signature seasonal combinations. Each student will leave with a box of cupcakes to take home.
