Our Best of Bay classes bring notable, local food talents into our teaching kitchens to share their expertise in a hands-on class.
With the release of their book, Sweet Cream and Sugar Cones, Kris Hoogerhyde and Anne Walker of Bi-Rite Creamery shared their prized recipes and in this hands-on class, they'll walk you through a few favorites. Using home-style ice cream machines, you’ll learn what makes homemade ice cream delectable, how to craft flavors using the best seasonal ingredients, some signature ice-cream toppings, and yes, that famous Salted Caramel. We will also have books available for purchase, and signing.
Some of the recipes the class will prepare are: Orange-Cardamom, Chai-Spiced Milk Chocolate, Malted Vanilla with Peanut Brittle and Milk Chocolate, and (yes, of course) Salted Caramel.
