With a career spanning over fifteen years, Kramer is one of the most respected Tech House DJs to come out of San Francisco. With a sound, style and energy all his own, Kramer can move a dance floor like no one else.
Kramer is one of the co-founders of DISTRIKT, the largest daytime sound camp at the yearly Burning Man festival. Hosting over 3,000 people every day on it’s dance floor, DISTRIKT has became legendary. Kramer’s annual Saturday closing party set at DISTRIKT has become a one of the biggest and most popular parties at Burning Man.
Kramer is also one half of the production team Methodrone. Their highly regarded debut albums "Nonlinear Reality" (Looq Records 2010) and "Where is the New World?" (Looq 2011) have been compared to classic ground breaking productions by Charlie May & Sasha, Voyager and Breeder. Their music has caught the ear of Hollywood, with tracks featured in the number one rated show CSI: New York and the racing game WRC FIA World Rally Championship. Notable remixes by Methodrone include the Jondi & Spesh classic "We Are Connected" and well as MoMu’s "Space Pimp." Their third full-length album "Spacial Recognition" will be out on Looq Records in February 2013. On his own, Kramer also has dance floor singles on Sequential Sounds, Pop+Lock, Transition Records, Helvetica Noir, Lo-Rise Recordings and Knob Records.
Currently living in San Francisco, Ca. Originally, a bay area native, grew up in Woodside, CA. Started DJing in 1997- Mixing everything from: house (funky, progressive, tech), breakbeat (funky and nu skool), techno (minimal, deep and dreamy), indie, electro, dub, downtempo, dubstep, hip hop, atmospheric drum n bass, funk, dancehall, reggae, 70’s, 80’s, rock, and remixes. Key to putting girls on the dance floor- fat basslines, vocals, organic sounds and remixes. Keeping them there- solid mixing. Philosophy on music- There is too much good music out there to only play and support specific genres. Have an open mind and keep the crowds refreshed.
DJ’s played with recently at clubs and underground parties: Mark Farina, Wolf + Lamb, DJ Dan, Pumpkin, Quivver, DJ Rap, D:Fuse, the Scumfrog, Pretty Lights, Misstress Barbara, Nu-Mark, Donald Glaude, MSTRKRFT, Hybrid, Freestylers, Justin Martin, Adam Freeland, Fort Knox Five, Rithma, Hipp-E, DJ Logic, Bassnectar, Savoy, Z trip, Nickodemus, J-Boogie, Smalltown DJ's..
