ROASTED DC: The First Political Satire Cafe

***MENTION UPOUT AT CHECKOUT AND RECEIVE 20% OFF ORDER***

Coffee shop by day, dance club by night, roasted. offers locally-sourced fair trade coffee with a side of satire.

With latte names that mock D.C. politics and with shows like John Oliver and Colbert on the shop’s TVs, roasted. offers a Brooklyn-like atmosphere to a city stereotyped for its love of networking, politics and overachievers. Mismatching furniture, chess pieces, books and a ping pong table greet customers as they enter. At the bar, customers have their pick of a satiric ceramic mug and a wide selection of coffee, lattes and specialty drinks.

David Chung and Pierre Jimenez met during their fraternity years at VCU. Brought together by a late night burger run, the aspiring lawyer and financial guru never thought they would work together one day.

Over 20 years later, Chung owns night clubs across D.C., Jimenez owns several coffee shops and both have families. However, one thing hasn't changed: these fraternity brothers know how to have a good time.

Founded in 2015, roasted. is the product of fraternity, friendship and fun. Coffee shop by day, dance club by night, roasted. offers locally-sourced fair trade coffee with a side of satire.
