It’s part doughnut, part waffle. And it’s changing the breakfast game.
Jumping in on the whole combined baked goods craze (from the cronut to the cruffin) comes the newest kid on the block, the doffle. The hybrid is the brainchild of DC Belgian restaurant B Too, where creative waffle dishes are kind of their thing. They’ve got pretzel waffles, waffle sandwiches, lobster waffles, cornbread and pulled pork waffles. Basically, if you can make it in waffle form, this place has got it.
But it’s really the doffle that’s making waves, if only because pastry combinations are the craze du jour. And not only can you get these guys in-house over at B Too, but you can get them delivered on UberEATS.
Looks like DC’s got the newest foodie blend, and by all accounts it will fill the puffy, sugary hole in our hearts left by the lack of trendy combos in the city until now.
