New Yorkers love pop-ups, and original concepts more than most cities. So it makes sense that ice cream company Malai, which is best known for its creative flavors and mindful sourcing of global ingredients is opening a pop-up shop in Brooklyn.
Founder Pooja Bavishi started her business in an effort to provide authentic ice cream flavors inspired by Indian cuisine that her friends and family could enjoy. Turns out, everyone wanted in on the unique combinations like rose with cinnamon roasted almonds or golden turmeric. In 15 flavors, this eggless, handcrafted ice cream is sure to be a hit at its pop-up location at Gotham Market at The Ashland, 590 Fulton Street (at Ashland Place) in Brooklyn.
Get in on the action at 6 p.m. on July 10th, where a new flavor will be revealed to the public. And to top it off, Malai is part of a neighborhood program, designed to promote Brooklyn-based businesses and will join six other purveyors at Gotham Market at The Ashland for four months, starting on July 10th.
