Hannah Rothstein is a painter, illustrator, writer, jeweler, and, as she puts it, an “Up-to-No-Gooder.” Rothstein is a conceptual artist who works across a wide variety of media, and has been featured in publications such as TIME, The Guardian, The Huffington Post, Fast Company, Slate, This Is Colossal, and more. This playful photo series, titled “Thanksgiving Special”, reimagines Thanksgiving classics in the style of famous artists.
So if your family has ever called you out for playing with your green beans and turkey, just show them these mashed potato masterpieces. They’ll understand that it was simply food art, and not bad manners.
Check out Rothstein’s Thanksgiving series from 2014. Because playing with food is just too much fun!
50 signed, limited-edition prints of each piece of food art are available. Prints are 16″ x 20″ and $125 each. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the SF Food Bank to help feed families in need this holiday season. A select few prints from last year’s series are also still available.
